About the Artist

A native of Williamsville, New York, Pat Pauly received her degree in art education from Buffalo State College. Pat’s professional work began back in the early 1980s when she turned to fiber as a medium of choice. Her early showing at Quilt National 1983 cemented her love of working in contemporary and untraditional surface design. Her pieces have been seen in Paducah, Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibitions, and numerous juried shows including the 1983, 2009 and 2011 Quilt National.

Along with curating and organizing exhibitions of contemporary fiber art, Pat teaches fiber design, and is a frequent lecturer on the evolution of traditional quilts and contemporary fiber art.  Pat shows her work both nationally and internationally.
